How AEG Washing Machines Work

AEG washing machines function in the same way that traditional washing machines work. The cycles of washing, rinsing and spinning are, in general, how all washing machines clean your clothes.

The wash cycle begins in the inner wash tub where the clothes have been placed into. The detergent and water is introduced into the tub for washing. Valves at the pipe connections introduce varying amounts of detergent and other washing liquids based on the programmed quantities.

Modern AEG washing machines have smart programs and display screens that allows you to choose from a wide variety of washing options. Different types of clothing material can be washed with different water temperatures, different amounts of softeners and detergents.

Inside, the tub spins to mix the clothes with the washing liquid. Besides the spinning tub, agitators may sometime be found inside the tub as well to help with the mixing. An agitator is equipped with fins or other extensions and rotates in opposite direction to the inner tub to maximum the mixing.

This wash cycle lasts for a period time as keyed in or pre-determined by the program in your AEG washing machines and the water exits the inner tub through holes on the wall of the inner tub. After the wash cycle, the tub is again filled with water, but this time, without detergent or softeners. The clean water is used to rinse the clothes clean of any residual dirt and also the wash liquid. This is known as the rinse cycle.

At the end of the rinse cycle, the water is again drained to the outer tub and the clothes inside the tub are then dried in the spin cycle. The spin cycle spins the clothes rapidly to remove water for the water-saturated clothes. This helps to make the clothes less wet, but does not actually dry it out.

Some AEG washing machines come with integrated dryers that do the real drying. Besides the standard wash, rinse and spin cycles, these AEG washing machines also has a drying cycle.

All smart AEG washing machines have the capability to display the cycle times, to key in your preferred cycle times and also have pre-programmed timings and detergent mix for specific categories of clothing.

AEG washing machines also have separate compartments for storing different types of detergents and softeners for different fabrics. Using the pre-programmed functions in AEG washing machines, you can wash with different detergents in the same machine.

Besides being designed with style, AEG washing machines are excellent in function and also efficient. They use less detergent and less water per wash and they also use less energy with each cycle because the programmed function optimise the washing, reducing wastage of any kind.
